Here’s What Others in Louisville Say About Age Transitions and Charlaine Reynolds…

“Charlaine Reynolds of Age Transitions has been an incredible blessing & resource to me through some very difficult years with my aging parents.  I met one-on-one with Charlaine to discuss the tremendous challenges I was facing with my parents. I relied on her knowledge and guidance over the years as the needs of my parents continued to change.  She was the caring expert guide I desperately needed on a road I never imagined I would have to go down with my parents. I tell people that Charlaine’s guidance is like a flashlight on the dark and confusing path of all things age-related.  I am forever grateful for her work!   If your parents are aging, you need to meet with Charlaine – she will ease your burden with care & understanding and let you know what resources are available for your family’s situation.”

“I met Charlaine at a business Expo. Among all the booths she stood out right away as a very caring person with a passion for her work and the elderly. As we spoke I felt comfortable to mention issues with my elderly mother that lived out of state. Not only did Charlaine take the time to talk and give be wonderful advice and suggestions to the issues, she inquires how my mother is doing each time we meet. When you love and have a passion for what you do it shows, thank you Charlaine for sharing and caring.”

“Some elderly people feel left out. Some people have trouble seeing and hearing. Some have lost their memory. Ms. Reynolds works and helps the elderly.” “I learned that now they are building houses so they can take a shower when they want to.” “I know elderly people get frustrated when they cannot see or hear. Elderly people do not like to be left out.”

“My father was in the hospital facing the last stages of his life due to COPD, emphysema, and lymphatic cancer. His doctors wanted to discuss timelines and preparations for death but my father would have none of it. That’s when I called Charlaine. Charlaine came in to discuss resource options to my mom and dad. Somehow, unbelievably, my father agreed to hospice care at home “for my mother’s sake” (ie. not his!). That simple decision allowed us to move dad home for the last week of his life, where he was able to die peacefully, in his own comfortable, familiar surroundings, privately and among family. That was the best solution for everyone involved. I don’t think it would have happened without Charlaine.”

“We have been working with Charlaine for almost a year, after our elderly father moved in with us in May of 2010. She has been in our home several times as “a friend” to help evaluate the needs of our 95 year old Dad. Her suggestions & follow-up recommendations have been extremely helpful. She has put us in touch with needed services & has provided practical suggestions for making the life of a 95 year old easier & better. Charlaine is quite knowledgeable in the elder care arena, very good at communicating with all ages…we highly recommend her to anyone needing elder care information.”
